Initial study and audit phase

During a knowledge management project, the scoping is part of the initial study and audit phase.

The scoping study or diagnostic phase concerns you if you have not been able, due to lack of time or resources, to undertake a first approach to your knowledge and know-how management within your organisation.

What is "knowledge" in your business? How much is explicit and how much is implicit? Where is it? How is it transmitted to date? Do you have key knowledge? Are your experts identified? Have you worked on levels of expertise? Have you superimposed a knowledge grid and an expert grid to obtain a criticality of your knowledge? Perhaps certain practices already exist in your organisations and are not promoted or animated?

A study correctly sized according to your constraints and objectives (from 4 days to 10 days of consulting for example) will answer all your questions and thus help you to set up or lay the foundations of a knowledge and know-how management policy.
