DIAGNOS - Anatomical-clinical diagnosis of glomerulopathies - a new knowledge tool

Project framework

ARDANS

The renal biopsyis essential to diagnose many kidney disease, and especially glomerulopathy.

The nephrotic syndrome (NS) is well listed, and their acknowledgement by the pathologist enable them to suggest a diagnosis as well as a prognosis and a therapeutic attitude. This syndrome are often complicated and its knowledge evolve. The goal is to possess a tool that handles the knowledge in this sector and that can be used either by the health professionals, the pathologist, the neohrologist, or by the students.

Results

The result is an package of capitalization and of knowledge sharing between the pathology and the nephrology reachable by the internet.

The French kidney foundation supported these works.

Objectives

ARDANS
  • Today DiAGNOS, it's a work area which:
    • Delivers an ergonomic and personalized access to the knowledge,
    • Gathers the knowledge on the glomerulopathy,
    • Links the knowledge in order to have a diagnosis help,
    • Manages different types of knowledge:
      • Knowledge of reference,
      • Diagnosis approach.

  • Tomorrow DiAGNOS, it's a work area which:
    • Is a base of actualized reference that spread its area:
      • Since histology and the clinic of glomerulopathy,
      • Toward other knowledge: pathophysiology, biology, treatments,
    • Offers its users the ability to enhance it by their own experience:
      • Introductions and talks of anatomoclinical cases,
    • Are completed by:
      • The extension of the iconography,
      • The addition of other pathologies as the nephropathy non glomerulary, the pathology of the transplanted kidney,...

Solution

  • The development of the application DiAGNOS powered by Ardans Knowledge Maker®,
  • The preservation and valorization of the knowledge and expertise of interpretation,
  • The implementation of a collaboration with all the users taking into account:
    • The circumstances of work of the different category of users,
    • The numerous works of the pathologists and te nephrologist.
