JASMINE - Just Appropriation of Knowledge and Control of Engineering and Standards at EGIS

In group EGIS’ developments, technical and legal risks associated with their exploitation bring to consider sealing's constraints at the beginning of design. If the problems involved in sealing do not call into question of works’ resistance and/or stability, they have an penalizing impact on exploitation with an increase in the maintenance costs: if the sealing relates to 3 or 4% of construction’s costs, it is likely to account for 90% of maintenance costs!
Rightly, knowledge in this field is regarded as criticisms.

EGIS decided to set up a knowledge’s collection on sealing ‘s materials and processes of the underground’s structures and art’s structures as well in construction as in restoration. The objective is to capitalize an expert’s know-how, to support restitution and appropriation to users.

JASMINE repository is built with the software Ardans Knowledge Maker® which facilitates creation of a collection on:

• ltechnical repository (recommendations et feedbacks)
• lstandards and regulations
• lelements that prevail legally before sealing problems

Restitution as an « e-K.book », accessible through an intranet, provides the database's distribution and ensures consultation of technical sheets and standards according to the selected repository.
