The purpose of the ISO 30401:2018 standard for knowledge management systems is "to help organizations design a management system that values and facilitates the creation of value from knowledge".
ISO 30401:2018 Knowledge management systems sets out rigorous knowledge management principles and requirements to enable organisations to develop the skills to maximise the value of their organisational knowledge.
The ISO 30401:2018 knowledge management systems standard also serves "as a basis for auditing, certification, assessment and accreditation of these organisations by recognised internal and external audit bodies".

Ardans and the Knowledge Management Club will present PARNASSE, the ISO 30401:2018 support tool, at the 15th edition of Search-Day in Paris on 19 October 2022.
The Search-Day event brings together professionals specialising in strategic information research and the mastery of complex environments; the event is organised by Veille Magazine.
Search-Day will take place on 19 October 2022 (from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm)
at the Athena Conferences, 8 rue d'Athènes, 75009 Paris.

PARNASSE, the "Portal Articulating the iso30401 Normative Reference with a Structured KM System for the Enterprise", the concrete tool that helps organisations to assess and improve their KM system with the requirements of the ISO30401 standard.
Ardans and the Knowledge Management Club
The Knowledge Management Club & Ardans have been mobilised since their creation to disseminate the best practices of knowledge management in organisations. In November 2018, the ISO 30401:2018 standard dealing with Knowledge Management Systems (SKM) was published in its initial version and made clause §7.1.6 "Organisational Knowledge" of ISO 9001:2015 more explicit.
The PARNASSE tool makes the SKM Book of the GC Club - developed as a reference SKM that meets the requirements of ISO 30401:2018 - accessible through the portal developed by ARDANS to make possible the "multi-view" exploitation of this complex standard.
Companies can then evaluate the Knowledge Management actions already in place, situate them within a reference SKM and thus identify a roadmap towards a more complete target. Views of the SKM Book in an initial version of PARNASSE will be illustrated.
The navigation will answer questions such as; "which SKM Book activities to meet the requirements of the standard?", "which requirements of the standard are affected by the SKM Book activities?", "for a KM action, which SKM Book activities are recommended and which requirements of the standard are affected?
All Chief Knowledge Officers, Knowledge Managers, Knowledge Engineers, Quality Engineers, Auditors were waiting for such a tool. It gives keys and answers to the understanding of the ISO 30401 standard; a major step of maturity in the discipline is reached with the PARNASSE tool.
